Empress of India

We went to Sittingbourne's best eating house last night to celebrate Teresa's birthday, not long to the BIG one love! x

As always the food and beer was superb, Aaron even made it through the evening without re-designing his t-shirt with splashes of madras sauce! Although the same can't be said for his darling wife who thought that the dips were placed there specifically for the buttons on her brand new cardigan - whoops

SNAPs again

Last night was our latest photography competition, I won the best animal picture (obviously) lol but my favourite was Teresa's photo of our favourite mad dog Bailey - you can see him above. Anyone who has been to my parents' house and met Bailey will be surprised to see that he can sit still long enough to photograph!!

Not been a bad week at work, luckily I have had all the glamorous ladies sitting near me today By half way through the morning I felt like Willy Wonka in his chocolate factory.

Saturday Morning

Well It is 7.50am on a Saturday AND I am at work - lets just say i am Pea Pea Peed off.

The weather is grey and gloomy and I still haven't got my landscape photo for our SNAPs meeting on Monday - I do have my camera though so might grab a shot on the way home!

New Season

Well the Sittingbourne Chess League kicked off last night - my first opponent was Peter Blundell and we enjoyed a very exciting game - which has been adjourned in the diagrammed position. I am white and had to seal a move (Ne2) so battle will recommence in 2 weeks, as Peter has craftily engineered a break in the Yorkshire Dales to re-charge his batteries.

Another Week

Hi Guys,

its been another interesting week - Was great to see David & Karen on Wednesday, the problem with having globe trotters in the family is that they are hardly ever on the same continental plate as us - and they still haven't been to Harlem! We enjoyed a wicked Chinese with them and then dinner at the golf club on Thursday with mum and dad, another great meal although I was startled when the manager asked my dad what his handicap was and he replied 'My son!'
My darling daughter Lisa went to the local butcher yesterday to buy some German Sausage, however she returned empty handed - she didn't think the price was wurst it

Well done to Kirsty who powered through her theory test this weekend, it won't be long until we have another woman driver on the road!!
All she needs now is a sat nav that shows her where the moon is!! Don't ask

Congratulations

To Aaron and Lisa on your 1st wedding anniversary yesterday 6th September

Aaron, you have been warned that Lisa's 12 month guarantee has now expired!

Men in Tights

NO!!!! I haven't been robbing my local branch of Barclays and I haven't joined the Young Conservatives - I talk merely of our latest archery event. Organised by fair maid Marion (Honestly) Mrs T and I drove to the event on Wednesday: The weather was a typical early September one - howling winds, driving rain but warm, we half expected to see magnificent herds of hippo swimming across the car park, but had to settle for a couple of pandas (Fiat not giant) Still the archery was indoors and I had cunningly been practicing for months in front of the mirror, granted I don't own a long bow but I had the technique of closing one eye pretty much mastered. Last time we had ventured to our virtual Sherwood Forest Teresa had beaten me in a head to head, and call it beginners luck or call it me being chivalrous, it wasn't going to happen again, no way Mr Mourinho.

Anyway lets cut to the chaste - after a closely fought battle I came an honourable second - we have a rematch booked for December - Should be easy :-)

Farming World

Well its been one of those weeks, started by working Bank Holiday Monday then a week at work in the wind and rain - miserable!!

The weekend was good though - on Saturday we went to Farming World at Faversham, a really nice place for the family especially kids - had the additional benefit that local craftsmen the Orchard WoodTurners were there raising money for MS - thats Multiple Sclerosis not Bill Gate's crew :-)

The brilliant guys raised a few hundred pounds and amazed everyone with their craftmanship - reminded me of the time when I planed the bathroom door as it was sticking! well it doesn't stick now but you can feel the draft when you are doing a number 2 - the wind rushes so fast up the stairs and through the gaps it even turns the pages of the newspaper!
